The oak of Kammerud

In Nilsby stands an oak derived from the Iron Age. Kammerudseken believed to be about 1,000 years old and is the oldest oak in Värmland.
It is believed that the oak, which is the oldest in Wermland, is about 1000 years old.
In the gnarled, whitened tree there is a hole, which in ancient times was uset to take sick children through. In this way, people of the time belived, that sickness and evil would be banished.
