Gammelgården, Mariebergsskogen

Gammelgården är en finsk-svensk 1700-talsmiljö.
Many of the old buildings moved to Mariebergsskogen were initially intended to form part of a farm setting. They have now been brought together to form Gammelgården. Gammelgården is a Finnish/Swedish 18th century settlement, with the Finnish parts being Gammelgården farm house (formerly Finngården), the sauna and the summer cookhouse. The Swedish buildings are the smithy, the raised log cabin, the kiln and the watermill. Karlstad Rural Heritage Society regularly holds open-house events here.
